We have been sending out glimpses and talking about the Bagheli Bagh tour for which we had recently been on a Recce.

The outline of the ride/ tour is such: It's spread over 5/6 days (including travel from Pune to MP). Total ride distance will be 250 kms. The entire route is along forested areas on either side. In fact, a couple of stretches are such that we are not supposed to even stop on the way since it’s a dedicated buffer zone of the forest. We will be having 2 safaris, one in Bandhavgarh and the other in Sanjay Dubri. The staying facilities are managed by Greetoe and hence are really awesome. 

As always, cycles will be transported all the way from Bavdhan to the location and brought back. The cost of the tour is approx. 28,500/-INR for SW Tribe members and 30,000/-INR for Non tribe members. As per tradition, we would prefer the tour to be filled up with SW Tribe since this is the first edition of yet another SW curated experience. 

However, for logistics and optimum costing, the batch size will be 24 pax. We will be having at least 2 team members from SW. Hence 22 tribe members get priority to sign up for the first edition of Bagheli Bagh.

Plan is to leave from Mumbai by a train on Friday evening which reaches Satna early Saturday morning where the actual tour starts and the return Journey will be via air from Prayagraj to Pune. (This is the best way that the travel has been worked out for ease of logistics. In case anyone wishes to stay back for additional days in Sanjay Dubri/ Lucknow /etc , that can be done at their own discretion)

Tentative itinerary of the Ride:

1. Friday 22^nd Nov 2024: Evening Train from Mumbai to Satna
2. Saturday 23^rd Nov 2024: Arrival in Satna (around 0800 hrs). Transfer to Bandhavgarh Stay location. A 35 kms cycle ride to a nearby Interpretation center and back in the evening.
3. Sunday 24^th Nov 2024: Morning Safari in Bandhavgarh. A 50 kms Cycle ride to a buffer zone and back in the evening.
4. Monday 25^th Nov 2024: Early morning cycle ride of a total distance of 100 kms to Sanjay Dubri from Bandhavgarh.
5. Tuesday 26^th Nov 2024: Early Morning cycle ride from Sanjay Dubri to a nearby Dam via the buffer zone. Total Distance: 70 kms. Evening Safari at Sanjay Dubri.
6. Wednesday 27^th Nov 2024: Early check out from Sanjay Dubri. Can travel to Prayagraj and fly out from Prayagraj to Pune.
